Theme: Social Representations and Societies in Motion

November 24 to 27, 2015 - University Center UNINOVAFAPI

Teresina/Piauí/Brazil

The Theory of Social Representations occupies an important place in social psychology and in different areas of knowledge. One of the indicators that asserts its importance is the international recognition of its author, Serge Moscovici, contemplated with top honors as the Balzan Prize (2003) and the Award Wilhelm Wundt-William James (2007), granted to researchers whose work has international recognition.

The strong pace of development of this study field in Brazil has led the Brazilian production to benefit from the exchange with foreign researchers in the International Conference on Social Representations (JIRS), providing a significant contribution to the international field, as recognized by major European and Latin-American authors.
